The town of San Juan de los Remedios, located in the province of Villa Clara, in the center of the island, is recognized as the eighth oldest city in Cuba and boasts a rich historical and cultural history. On March 7, 1980, its historic urban center was declared a National Monument.

Its main attractions include the Parish of San Juan Bautista, with its impressive gilded altars, and the Museo de las Parrandas Remedios, dedicated to the city's famous Christmas celebration.


Every December 24th, Remedios comes alive with the Parrandas, one of Cuba's most vibrant festivals, where fireworks, music, and spectacular floats fill the streets with color and joy. In addition, its Plaza Isabel II, surrounded by historic buildings and cafes, is the heart of the city, ideal for enjoying its colonial charm.
